SAFETVEYR's first of its kind “safer carwash conveyor” concept was initially developed in 1999 by Michael Horn, the company’s founder. Today, his innovative ideas towards safe, high-efficacy performance are reshaping the entire professional carwashing industry.
As a distributor of automatic car washes and car wash products, Mike witnessed needless injuries and even deaths that occurred due to carwash related accidents… and he recognized the need for a safer, more easily utilized and maintained conveyor.
While conducting extensive research with dozens of car wash operators, Mike discovered still another need: the desire for a carwash conveyor that was clean, contemporary looking, and could easily accommodate low-clearance exotic cars previously unable to fit on conventional carwash conveyors.
After working with various carwash operators along with an executive from a modular plastic belt manufacturer, Mike introduced his first prototype in Staten Island, New York in 2005. His concept was an instant hit with consumers due to its powerful image of being safe and risk-free of damages typically associated with conventional carwash operations. No risk of wheel or tire damage caused by guide rails and correlator mechanisms — easy rub-free clearance for even the lowest of sports cars.
